Shogun Sushi Hibachi in Folsom

I brought my friend to Shoguns for the first time. We came at 2:20pm on a Saturday. When we walked in the host wasn’t friendly at all. We wanted to eat Habachi since it was my friends were new to the restaurant. Immediately we felt unwelcome during and the host kept looking at her watch as if we were not on their time! They close at 3, so we thought we made it in time to enjoy the grill since I go every weekend. We were rushed the whole time and we felt we had to stuff our food down our throat! Our portion size was very small and we got the worst service. I will never bring my friends or recommend anyone to come here if they want good service or enjoy good food. I’m very disappointed in this company and I will not return.

Good food, fun atmosphere. The restaurant is clean. The chef's were entertaining and fun. The food was delicious. We will go back to this little hidden gem for sure, and would definitely recommend if you're looking for hibachi. We also tried a spicy tuna roll just to preview their sushi for future trips. Unimpressed. Go for the hibachi, but check out sushi elsewhere!

Wow! A nice change of pace - the broth with my salmon hibachi had a great flavor. The veggies with the salmon were actually good too. :)

The hostess was horrible. Not even a hello when we came in. Absolutely no service. They tried to separate my party.I would not recommend this place.

I'll keep coming back to this place. The food is really good and the staff are friendly. The salmon hibachi is something to try.

Love that there is a Hibachi Grill so close. We ordered a Hibachi entree and shared it, with some appetizers, so we didn't do the full experience. A little heavy on the garlic, but otherwise good. Very nice staff!

The food and service were great. My only complaint is that there needs to be now sensitivity training towards people with shellfish allergies. My steak was cooked first. Perfect. .. My sea bass was placed on the same platter as the shrimp and scallops. The other half of my meal had to be prepared in the kitchen. I asked to skip the fish portion since I had already started my meal. The chef said it could be prepared right away in the back. I waited another twenty minutes or so for the other good to reach me. Other order at the table was done eating, paid and gone while we waited for food that I asked to cancel after it was handled improperly. So with all of that being said, I only wish there were better protocols for pee with allergies. Maybe an allergy note card for the chefs.

Excellent place. The service is incredible, good price for the food and is served fast. The place is really nice, cool lights and tables, bar with TV's. I totally recommend this place.

The whole experience was very nice the food and service and the people you can't go wrong going at Shogun.

Overall the food was pretty good. Prices were nice. Nothing special but good quality. I'd give it another go.

Great place, sushi, miso soup and fried rice tastes really good. Customer service is not bad, but language barrier does exist a little bit. Overall pretty good

This restaurant is obviously one of the most pleasant restaurants in the region. Whenever I visit this place I am exceedingly glad. They maintain their very high level service and the topmost level of dishes they offer. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

I went here once with my dad and sister and it was great! The cooks are very funny and entertaining! The food is great also! I love this hiachi grill!

2nd time eating lunch here. Had the Hibachi Chicken. It was great. Our chef was very nice and friendly. He cooked everything just right and was working at a quick pace. Staff was friendly and always checking to keep drinks full. Lady who greeted us was very nice. Prices for lunch time were not bad. Overall place was clean . I will be going back.

The best sushi in Folsom hands down. The prices are very fair and the people who work here are very friendly.

Best hibachi place around, do not go to Benihana. This place uses the freshest ingredients and has the best hibachi chefs around. Everything was Seafood is freaking delicious--the lobster, the scallops, the shrimp. If you live in Folsom and haven't gone here I feel sorry for you.

We love going! We always have a great time. The service is always great. Tim always puts on a great show. We love the food. They’re very accepting of dietary preferences. When ever we ask the kids where they want to go Shogun is always the request.

They have gluten free soy sauce and accommodate my allergies (yaaaaas). They're very sweet and always greet us. We come in for business and fun and everyone has enjoyed the location and atmosphere. I typically get the well-priced sushi lunch special (Maki lunch A or B) and they also have vegan options. Fun for large-ish parties at the hibachi grill or smaller groups too. Love this place.

What...a....great dinner! Tim was the best hibachi chef we have seen yet. His enthusiasm is contagious and our table was hands down the most fun. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and made sure all dishes were cleared promptly. Very awesome dinner and good times.

Amazing rolls and service! they are super friendly and great prices. the ambiance is very trendy and sheik. Particularly, they are never extremely busy on weeknights so its nice to get in and out.

The best place the steak is good the rice is good the shrimp is good everything is good love how the workers do tricks. If you come here get Hibachi. If I could I would rate this place infinity/5 stars

Great service, food hmm kinda blend, their "yummy yummy" sauce which is spicy mayo is blend and watery, but great service

This is the best location for Japanese-style Tepanyaki that I have found in the local area. (Tepanyaki has been made famous in the U.S. by the much more expensive "Benihana" brand.) Shogun also has good sushi!

They were great. Didn't open until noon. Let me in early. Took my order and even let me order a drink.

Fun place for a group dinner. Noting fantastic but it is enjoyable and fun. Hibatchi chefs really make it worth going. Food is ok.

Great lunch specials, the banana tempura was amaaaazing! Beautiful decor, talented hibachi chefs (they've got some moves!) And a good variety of rolls as well as other entrees. Floor was a little sticky under my table, hence the 4 stars, but I'll def be back! Next visit I'm sure will be a 5!

Made a reservation, some how my name ended up not being on the list. They sat us anyways, took our order, then asked us to leave the Hibachi Grill table because other people came in for their reservation. We moved tables. Had to re-order. Told them I'm allergic to shell fish, asked them to please not put shrimp on my plate. They brought my plate out with shrimp on it. The waitress seemed very annoyed that I asked them to remake it. They didn't refill our drinks very often. Rarely checked on the table. All of that for mediocre food and ridiculously high prices for such small servings.

Great atmosphere, good show. Good food. You can get veggies instead of rice. Success in eating healthy on the road

This Is the best hibachi food in the Sacramento area! I drive past Benihana to get to this delicious restaurant because their prices and portions are so much better! The food is so good! I also get their lunch hibachi to go at least once a week and they never messed up my order. My husband and I like to go here on date nights!

Great place for a lunch! The hibachi style food is amazing! Cooks are always showing off and giving a great great show off their skills! Food is very good, I love the hibachi style salmon!

Been here a few times just for shushi. Looks like they do a great job with the Habacchi. Shushi is good. Prices a fair service is great. Would recommend this place. Close to freeway easy on and off also gas station near by if you are traveling and need a quick shushi fix.

Possibly the best restaurant to celebrate someone's birthday! Coincidentally, I was here for my friend's birthday celebrations and she loved the vibe! We sat at the Hibachi grill and made the cook perform some classic tricks with his knives and the egg in his pocket trick! I had ordered an Egg Fried Rice with vegetables on the same as part of the Hibachi special! I loved the taste! The veggie sushi roll was also a good combination with the Fried Rice! Will be back again soon!

Went here for lunch with my mom. Big restaurant that offers hibachi table service or regular table service.Ordered off the lunch menu (couldn't understand the waitress enough to determine if we coukd have ordered off another menu)Bento boxes we ordered were ok, but not great. I had teriyaki beef and mom had tempura veggies & shrimp. My meat portion seemed small..but it was the lunch menu. My moms tempura veggies we just ok; she didn't think they were very fresh..broccoli was soft.We thought the overall experience was just "meh.."

New Owner? food is great as always. But owner made us go to another table for convince making us wait an additional 30 minutes for the other party to finish their appetizers.

OMG, this place is awesome, the fried Basil is out of this world good!
